Hello!
We know you are busy and that keeping up with all of the information from your children's school and activities can be a part-time job, so we will put the bottom line upfront:
Students will now be required to wear a mask at The Dance Works. Please read on for further information.
We are sure that many of you have seen the new Directed Health Measures to go into effect at 12:01 am on Wednesday, November 11th.
We fall into a gray area, somewhere between a fitness center, daycare, and extra curricular activity. That leaves a lot of unanswered questions as to what we are required to do.
Thus far, we have left the choice of whether or not students need a mask up to you, as in our hearts, we feel that the parent should get to choose. While our hearts still lead us to believe it should be your choice, current mandates, and the looming fear of having to close again make it such that we will have to require students to wear a mask at The Dance Works.
Our rooms are gridded off to allow students adequate dancing space. We will permit necessary mask breaks while they are six feet apart.
We kindly ask that you drop your students off and remain outside of the building. This helps lessen potential exposures. We will continue to have students exit the building via the north doors. Our staff is HAPPY to help open car doors and assist your student with pick up procedures.
We are committed to providing an experience for your child that is educational, fun, and confidence-building. We seek to not complicate the stressors they are feeling due to the present-day circumstances.
There is so much else we want to say. We are heavy-hearted for our students and their families as everyone continues to do the best they can, but we remain hopeful for the future.
As always, if you have any questions please reach out!
