It's Dress Rehearsal and Showtime!!

Next week your dancer has a dress rehearsal and their show! Here is what you need to know for both of those events!

DRESS REHEARSALS

When: Use THIS schedule to find your dancer's rehearsal time. They should be ready to dance ten minutes before their scheduled rehearsal time. These are a practice run for the actual shows and will take a little longer than the real show. Dancers should plan to stay for the duration of the rehearsal. Every dancer is encouraged to participate at the end of the show curtain call. We will practice the curtain calls at each rehearsal.

Where: The Merryman Performing Arts Center. Use the South West doors that lead into the Central Elementary School Gym. Students will check in there, and that is where we will meet and line up before the shows.

What to Wear: The Dress Rehearsal is a practice run for the real thing! Students need their costumes, appropriate undergarments, correct shoes, and any accessories. Their hair should be in a bun. Make-up is optional for the dress rehearsal.

Parents are not required to stay at MPAC during the dress rehearsal. We will release students to their parents from the MPAC stage after the curtain call. After the curtain call, all students will remain on the stage until a parent or guardian checks them out!

There are no regularly scheduled classes next week: only the dress rehearsals and the shows.

Show Orders

Show orders are the order in which dances will be performed in the recitals.

THE RECITALS:

When: They should be 100% ready to go ten minutes before their showtime!

Where: They will enter through the same doors and check-in just as they did for the rehearsals. Then they will meet with their class and get lined up in the gym.

What to Wear: Their costumes, appropriate undergarments, correct shoes, and any accessories! They should also have their hair neatly and securely in a bun and their stage make-up on!

Upon completion of the show, students will be dismissed to their parents from the MPAC stage. After the curtain call, all students will remain on the stage until a parent or guardian checks them out!

The doors to the Merryman Performing Arts Center will open 20 minutes before showtime to members of the audience.

We're excited for a FUN week of rehearsals and performances!! We will see you on the stage!
